Maxine Watson has worked in the television industry for over twenty years both as a Producer (RTS journalism winner for Why Stephen) and as a Commissioner for BBC Documentaries across One, Two and BBC Three.

Commissions include award winning Who Do You Think You Are, Grumpy Old Men, Class of '92, Out Of Their Leauge, Baby P: The Untold Story, The Week The Landlords Came to Stay, Lawful Killing: Mark Duggan Shooting, Reported Missing, Elizabeth at 90, Famous Rich and Homeless, Gareth Malone's Invictus Choir. BAFTA winner Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad, Jamie Drag Queen at 16 (now a smash hit west-end musical, who knew?!), The Great Pottery Throw Down as well as fact-based drama commisions, included Mrs Mandela for BBC Four, Shirley Bassey, The Scandalous Lady W and single drama Excluded for BBC Two.

In early 2017, Maxine left the BBC to join Twenty Twenty as Director of Programmes and is responsible for several series in production and in development. She was most recently the Executive Producer on award winning history series A House Through Time presented by David Olosuga, a ratings and critical success for BBC Two.
