Martha Housden

Director of Development

A trained journalist who used to write for The Guardian and Observer, Martha became Director of Development in 2016, after a two year stint as Head of Development.

During her time at the company she has led a successful development team winning commissions across genres, including the upcoming BBC2 series The Dancing Town, BBC1’s The Best of British TakeawaysFirst Dates Hotel (C4), and a very exciting new factual entertainment pilot for ITV.  


Prior to joining Twenty Twenty, Martha was Head of Development at Dragonfly where, alongside winning commissions and running the development team, she created and executive produced The Horsemeat Banquet for BBC Three. Martha also used to run the development team at BBC Three and her credits include Junior Doctors, World’s Toughest Driving Tests and Big Meets Bigger among many others.
