Emma was promoted to Managing Director at Twenty Twenty in December 2017. In her previous role as Creative Director, she created the hit new history format for BBC Two, A House Through Time and the upcoming, Faster: Race The World, for Sky One.
As Commissioning Editor and then Head of Documentary Commissioning at the BBC, she commissioned The Great British Bake Off and many other award-winning titles including The Choir franchise, The Secret History of Our Streets, The Great British Sewing Bee and The Detectives. As MD of Twenty Twenty, she has overseen a period of real growth, the continued success of the international hit, First Dates, and the launch of First Dates Hotel.
Alongside factual and factual entertainment, Twenty Twenty also has a thriving children’s department and a newly revitalised drama department with the upcoming 6 part series, Traitors, due to launch Spring 2019 on Channel 4. A creative at heart, Emma’s business model is to mix genres, push boundaries and innovate. The money will follow.
