Twenty Twenty believes that television has the power to change people's lives.
Formed in 1982 by 'hands on' programme makers, Twenty Twenty is one of the UK's most respected independent television production companies. We have successfully built on the legacy of our pioneering factual formats, the Emmy Award winning BRAT CAMP and the definitive ‘living history’ series LADS ARMY and BAD LADS ARMY.
Today, Twenty Twenty makes attention-grabbing factual, drama and entertainment series that are loved by audiences around the world.
Our hits include double BAFTA winner THE CHOIR on BBC2, and BBC One's period drama GARROW'S LAW, now in its second season. WORLD'S STRICTEST PARENTS, in its third successful season on BBC Three, is a format that has sold around the world.
We’ve also moved into ambitious specialist factual series with TITIANIC: THE MISSION, for Channel 4 and National Geographic; plus we continue to have success in children's programmes with hit shows such as SORCERER'S APPRENTICE and THE BIG PERFORMANCE.
Don’t just take our world for it! Critical acclaim for our shows includes BAFTA awards in 2007 and 2009 for THE CHOIR, while BRAT CAMP was a 2005 Emmy award winner. Our living history series THAT'LL TEACH 'EM picked up the 2004 Indie Award and a BAFTA nomination. And LADS ARMY was a 2003 Royal Television Society award winner and a BAFTA nominee.
Our series are broadcast by networks around the world, including National Geographic, ABC, The Discovery Channel and CNN. And our formats are successfully produced overseas, most notably THE WORLD’S STRICTEST PARENTS for CMT (part of MTV) in the US. BRAT CAMP was made for ABC in the US, while THAT’LL TEACH ‘EM was a massive hit in Europe – M6 in France achieved almost 30% audience share with their version.
Twenty Twenty proves that intelligent TV can be fun, popular and have a big heart. The company still has that same ‘hands on’ ethos and our shows make a positive impact on the lives of those involved.
We currently have exciting new work in development, production and post production.
