Twenty Twenty’s (a Shed Media Group company) UK hit format, The Choir has been picked up by USA Network for a ten episode run. Intended for transmission from February 2013, the show will be produced by fellow Shed Media producer, Shed Media US.
The series will see Gareth Malone OBE develop ten individual choirs, each with its own identity and ambition, in different locations throughout America. As with the UK format, each episode will culminate with a defining performance and a substantial emotional ending to the show.
As one of Twenty Twenty’s biggest brands in the UK, Sam Whittaker will take on an exec producer role in the US, alongside Stephanie Schwam who will exec produce for Shed Media US.
The series will be distributed by WBITVD (Warner Bros. International Television Production).
